A warm welcome to Cherrywood Community Primary School!

We are really happy that all children are now back at school and our brand new reception class have settled in well. However, we do realise that nationally these are very challenging times.  To try and support you during these times we have provided for you, or directed you to, a range of useful information.  We do recognise that there is a lot of information which is frequently updated – so please do call the school on 01252 547896, and one of our members of staff will be happy to try and help.

Are you considering joining us?

This is also the time that we would start to welcome visitors who are considering sending their children here next September.  Whilst visits to school are not possible at present, we have alternative plans to give you a taste of life at Cherrywood, virtually show you around and answer any questions.  Please contact the school for further information.

What to do if my child is unwell?

These handy checklists should help you in deciding if you should send your child to school or not.  If in doubt STAY AT HOME and give us a call so we can advise.

Remote Home Learning

We are in the process of finalising our plans for supporting families who need to isolate, to ensure that children’s education is disrupted as little as possible.  These will be shared with families next week and be available here.

Risk Assessments

This is a very detailed document that we regularly review.  This has been used to support us in establishing systems and procedures to try and keep everyone as safe as possible.  If you have any questions or suggestions for us to consider please get in touch.

In creating these risk assessments we have read many documents, including those produced by the Government.  The following link will take you to a central Government website where you can locate a range of information that is used to support parents and schools during this pandemic.
